Likemind is a realistic, story-driven adventure game in the making.

About the story

What happens when a human becomes knowable to a machine?

Likemind challenges the limitations of machines in their perception of humans by reducing the sample size to one: meet Sarah.

In joining an esteemed educational institution, she hopes to start a new chapter in her life. But beyond new people and new lessons to learn, the institution holds a seemingly impossible connection to her burdening past.

Together with Nic, an enigmatic classmate who appears to have all the answers, she is drawn into a thrilling conspiracy that sees the influence of technology reach disturbing new depths.

Navigating the presence of a latent system that is quietly slipping out of control, Sarah and Nic forge a unique connection that becomes a weapon in their fight against ghosts of the past, present and the future.

Sarah

(half-laughing, furious and afraid)
God. You don't even flinch, do you?
I could tell you I helped build it and you'd still be trying to fix me.

Nic

(almost offended by that notion)
Fix you? What, because you're broken?
No. You know what's broken - is this system that puts people like us in a situation like this.

Motivation

Likemind is an attempt at building a compelling and coherent video game on ideas I am confident in.

I believe that these ideas can amount to something I am missing in today's video game landscape: a realistic, high-quality video game that is interested in telling a story.
Games of that kind have become a rarity, and I want to counter that.

Status quo

The idea of a video game with the depth and level of quality I am targeting for Likemind may sound impossible - but with the right talent, the right people that are passionate and willing to contribute, this goal becomes realistic.

As of October 2025, an early but playable prototype exists and has seen several months of steady progress.
For the foreseeable future, the focus will continue to be on the fundamental game systems that support the gameplay and the narrative experience.

Currently in place are, among others, a menu system, a savegame system, an interaction system, a caption system, a localization workflow as well as engine enhancements to support the authoring of cinematic sequences.

Work on the narrative outline started in November 2024 and steadily continues to take form.

What's next?

The immediate objective is to build a "proof-of-concept" vertical slice of Likemind that

  • validates the project's technical ambitions,
  • establishes the narrative DNA and
  • excites the audience.

This vertical slice is intended to provide the foundation for a public debut trailer.

This is my passion project. It could be yours too!

As of March 2026, I am looking for co-creators to

  • share my creative vision with,
  • create a credible project strategy and
  • build the foundation for a thrilling and coherent narrative experience.

This is a high risk, high reward project that requires a team of passionate and determined people to succeed.

Use of generative AI in the making of Likemind

This project rests on the idea of human actors portraying human emotions.
For this reason, the final game and its promotional material will not feature any AI-generated assets in the place of human voices, animations or music.

Furthermore, while some of the images displayed on this page are generated for concept purposes, they are not intended to replace actual concept art.
